Eiffel Tower
Eiffel Tower second floor

The most recognisable landmark in Paris, the Eiffel tower was built for the 1889 World Fair, and stands 320 m high.

For the athletic, and those who can’t be bothered to queue for the lift, it is possible to climb the stairs as far as the second floor. Then another lift whisks you all the way to the top (after another long queue!). It is worth the wait as the view is superb.
