European Symposium on Biological and Organic Chemistry (ESBOC)

This is an annual symposium taking place at Gregynog Hall, Wales. This year’s meeting takes place on 18-20 May 2012 and the theme is The Chemistry and Biology of Antibiotics.

RSC Bio-Organic Group Postgraduate Research Symposium

This is an annual one day meeting where postgraduate students in biological and organic chemistry can present their research in oral and poster format.

This year’s meeting will be held at The School of Chemistry in Cardiff on 19 April 2012 and features a plenary lecture by Prof Chris McGuigan. Poster set-up and coffee will begin at 10:30 with the talks starting at 11:00.

The meeting is open to everyone, and it is not necessary to be a postgraduate student, member of the bio-organic group or member of the RSC. Registration is £15 which includes lunch and all refreshments. A number of travel bursaries for RSC student members are available, with priority going to those presenting their work.
