The picture above was rendered using the background radiosity option of LW. The close-up on the left uses a Skytracer2 sky to create the reflections in the buttons. The inset decals on the buttons are not modelled in geometry, but have been applied using a UV bump map which is linked to reflection and diffuse gradients. The text elements were drawn in black and white using Corel Draw, and were used as alpha layers in the Lightwave texture editor.
